Zeeva

07/04/12 - AEC Novi

While we were out of town, Zeeva (our Westie who is diabetic) was brought to AEC with extremely low blood sugar. She then started having seizures. Dr. Robertson came in to allow Dr. Lanborne to thoroughly research Zeeva's condition. She developed a treatment plan & Dr. Grube followed it on midnights. By morning, Zeeva was better but the prognosis was still guarded. Dr. Lanborne referred us to a specialized facility. Zeeva was back home within 36 hours. A neurologist recommended by AEC ruled out a brain tumor, cancer, & infectious disease. There are side effects to her brain from the seizures,and only time will tell if they are temporary. But every day Zeeva is returning to her normal self. She may even be able to gradually get off the seizure medication.
The treatment Zeeva received at AEC was exceptional. The doctors were thorough & honest with their treatment. The techs, especially Christine & Tanya, were kind & compassionate. The entire staff was genuinely concerned. Dr. Robertson & her staff are extremely dedicated & are lifesavers. We have them to thank for Zeeva being here today.
