We went into the hospital this morning after keeping Abraham overnight with the intention to put him down. It seemed overnight he was unable to breathe on his own, and that he wasn't showing a quick response to the medication. Once Dr. Robertson came in the room before we euthanized the pet, she discussed thoroughly the options we had in such an optomistic and positive manner, it changed the entire atmosphere. We ended up bringing our Abraham home, confident that we can help him recover and have some quality to life. It was very heart-warming to see her concern and genuine distress at us having to toy with the idea of putting him down, and her positive attitude was contagious. Most of all, this was a first time meeting! She'd never met Abraham before, but could see how much he meant to us, and we feel great having him with us another day!
