08/25/24 - AEC Novi

We rushed our dog Panama to AEC Novi in the early evening hours after calling around to several emergency vets in the area and being told they were at capacity and that we were better off going somewhere else if she needed to be treated urgently. When we first called AEC, they made it clear that Panama could get care there even if they were already busy and to bring her in. I am SO glad that we did. The staff was amazing, and Dr. McBride explained her condition (hemorrhagic shock from a ruptured splenic tumor) and the necessary treatment (emergency splenectomy) very clearly, and with tremendous empathy and compassion. We immediately knew that our baby would be in good hands. The team there saw her safely through surgery and kept her in the hospital for 2 days for monitoring. She came home to us already looking and feeling more like herself. We have been through other pet medical emergencies elsewhere and have had mixed experiences, but I truly cannot recommend AEC highly enough. - Panama's Owner [Avg. Score: 4.9 ]
