Alice

12/28/20 - AEC Rochester

Ultimately we were very happy. We waited in our car for about 1 1/2 hours until the vet could see Alice, but this was understandable since it was Saturday night at 9:00 pm on a holiday weekend.

We originally called to see if we could get in around 1:00 in the afternoon, and the person who answered said it was a 6 hour wait and she said "they were not accepting any new patients today". This was upsetting because our cat had been sick for 4 days and we were getting frantic. We called again around 7:30 and Rebecca was very nice and told us to come in immediately. She said "AEC is like a human emergency room" and you can come in any time. We did, and were happy with all the care and explanation.
She also provided us a pill shooter so we could pill our cat safely after we said we were nervous.

One other comment: When we looked at the invoice, 495155, it appeared we were not charged for the ultrasound the doctor was going to perform. I called the 248-651-1788 number around 1:00 pm on Sunday to let them know. After I explained we were not billed enough, the woman put me on hold, which eventually transferred to another number which had a message that that office was closed. I called back a couple hours later with the same explanation, and was transferred to the billing dept. and left them a message.

So in summary, we were very satisfied with the vet, the vet tech and the care and explanations, but if we had been able to come in at 1:00 on Saturday it would have been much more convenient, since we ultimately ended up getting home from the 9:00pm appointment around 3:30 a.m.
