After attempting multiple treatments for kidney disease with our veterinarian, Dr. Baylis, our beloved cat Izzy took a turn for the worse on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We brought her to the Animal Emergency Center in Rochester that night and received the most compassionate and caring care for both Izzy and my husband and I. While we had pretty much made the decision on the way over that it was time to end her suffering, they made us feel more comfortable about this difficult decision. They allowed me to hold her and she went peacefully. They informed us of our cremation options and I honestly feel that they took good care of her after we left. These are special people at this Animal Hospital. Their job cannot be easy, but they handle things with such compassion and understanding. We are so thankful they were available to us that sad night.
