Dottie
I decided to adopt a senior dog while we were home during COVID. All of the shelters around the Detroit area were closed, so I went looking for a dog through Petfinder. I was looking for a Dalmatian and a shelter in South Bend, Indiana had just what I was looking for. Dottie had been at the no kill shelter for over four months and I knew she was the right dog for us. I explained to my kids that we were going to be her "retirement home". Surprisingly, the old girl had a tremendous amount of pep and enjoyed going for long walks everyday. We just celebrated our two year anniversary with Dottie on April 18th, 2022. We treasured every moment with our lovable Dalmatian! She was 14 1/2 years old when she passed away and will be tremendously missed.
