09/05/14 - AEC Novi

To make a long story short - we are from the Southern Illinois area visiting our Michigan friends & families. Our 12 year old dachshund eats anything and everything!! She somehow jumped up on a couch and finished off a large chocolate bar. We call our vet in Illinois who said to give her bread soaked in Hydrogen Peroxide - she did not vomit and we ended up giving her 3 large pieces of bread! She was very uncomfortable and we googled animal emergency in the Novi area & we were so happy to have found AEC! Our dog was taken in the back immediately and when she would not vomit an Xray was taken that showed she had Bloat. With our approval they pumped her stomach - she had to spend the night at AEC and is slowly recovering at home now. We are so thankful for the care and compassion our dog and we were shown. Thank you to the doctors quick thinking Molly is here today!!
